Well, this week I’m guest blogging on the topic over at Lettuce Eat Green, a new blog by my good friend Mel that examines the consequences of what we eat.
Head on over to find 10 Ways To Get Your Child To Eat Some Vegetables.
Mel studied biotechnology and spent several years working in neuroscience research labs in Toronto before moving to Ottawa. She is now a student in holistic nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and passionate about being outside, preservation, waste reduction and healthy eating. She hopes her little piece of the internet will help others make healthier and more sustainable food choices. She offers recipes, research and all kinds of reasons why you should start eating better.
P.S. I just have to share this and it’s kind of realted…Back in the spring we planted one tomato plant. The previous year we had planted too many and cherry tomatoes took over our yard and our neighbour’s yard. Cherry tomatoes are good but it was a little excessive. So we learned our lesson and just planted one plant this year. This weekend, the man pulled out that lone cherry tomato plant.
It was 34 feet long and weighed 41 pounds!!!
Thank goodness we took it out. It was probably only a matter of time before it attacked the dog or even the little one.
